Replica Series

The Red Diamond Replica Series is a series of mandolins based on a few great instruments that are in the hands of premier players. Each Replica is made using the exact flexibility readings taken from the original mandolin in addition to all of the arching and cosmetic details. Each replica will be reproduced in a limited number, signed by the owner, and will replicate the look, feel and sound of the original. The first instrument in this series is David Grisman’s 1922 F-5, “Crusher”. This instrument is done, and all have been sold. The second in the series is John Reischman’s 1924. These are done and one is still available. Bobby Osborne’s 1925 Fern is in the works and should be ready by the end of 2010.
